eCourses will automatically assign a grade to any assignment not submitted once the UNTIL date passes. The default is 0, but other grades can be set.
This feature only works when an UNTIL date/time is listed for an assignment.
Steps to Set up Automatic Zeros
Step 1: Click on Grades in the Course Menu
Step 2: Click on Gear Icon
Step 3: Check Automatically apply grade for missing submissions.
Optionally change the grade from 0%.
Step 4: Click Apply Settings at the bottom of the screen.
This feature only works on Discussions, Assignments and Quizzes built in eCourses. It will not work for third party integrations like CONNECT, MindTap, inQuizative etc.
