Introducing Pronto Messaging!

Updated on

Pronto Logo

Pronto is a text, image and video messaging service embedded into eCourses.  It can replace Remind and has several additional features.   It is a great way to communicate with students in a secure FERPA compliant social media fashion which Gen Z students respond to more effectively than email.

Overview of Pronto

Pronto vs. Remind

Remind doesn't have all the features of Pronto.  Here is a comparison matrix.

Yes No

Yes No
Fully FERPA Compliant Yes No*

*Instructors must provide a link to access remind.  Students can then invite individuals to the group who are not members of the class. This must be manually monitored. Pronto does not allow individuals to add to class group.  Only registered student through eCourses can access Pronto.
