Honorlock can be used for remote testing (it's intended use) or for in- person testing. In person testing can also use the Respondus Lockdown Browser (RLDB).
The RLDB should be installed on all university computers. It does not record any student activity.
When using Honorlock an access code will be assigned in each quiz it has been enabled. Do NOT remove this code or students will bypass Honorlock when they enter. Changing the code will prevent Honorlock from working.

Since most students have access to more than one internet capable device, for remote proctoring Honorlock is strongly recommended. The Respondus lockdown browser only restricts the device the student takes the exam on.
If students do not have access to a camera on their device disable (uncheck) the items shown below. If any of the four boxes are marked with a blue check a camera will be required for students to start the quiz.
- Record Webcam
- Test Taker ID
- Room Scan
- Test Taker Photo
Click on the blue checks for the four designated settings to deactivate them.
