Remediation Flow: This document is scanned but not OCRed in Ally

Updated on

This workflow addresses how to remediate the Ally Issue:

Document: The document is scanned but not OCRed.

Video Overview

Considerations

  • Typically, Ally can convert scanned images into text internally for shorter, simpler documents.
  • Scanned images are never tagged, but the scan and OCR Process tags it automatically.
  • When Ally fails to Scan and OCR, the document must be taken into Acrobat Pro.
  • Handwritten documents with mathematical or chemical notation require the use of MathPix.  Contact CIITS for assistance at [email protected] or (936) 261-3283.
