The Continued Teaching Contingency Plan is designed to help faculty maintain connections with students during a regular semester, whether faculty are away on university business or students are unable to attend classes for an extended period.

This guide provides the resources necessary for faculty to seamlessly transition from face-to-face instruction to an online environment. The ultimate goal is to ensure students can continue learning despite challenges that prevent physical attendance in a classroom.

This step-by-step guide addresses common questions and provides clear instructions to support faculty throughout the process.

STEP 1: What Should I Do First?

Organization is key to keeping students on track. Start by informing students of key course expectations, including:

  • Communication frequency: How often you will provide updates or communicate with them.
  • Assignment access: Where students can locate assignments and resources.
  • Technology tools: What platforms or tools will be used in the course.
  • Syllabus changes: Any updates to the syllabus should be clearly communicated.

STEP 2: How Do I Access My Students if I Cant Meet Them in a Traditional Classroom?

  • Students can be accessed online using the university's learning management system ,eCourses
  • Enter your university credentials
  • If you need help with your password, click here reset your password and follow instructions on screen
  • Once password is entered, click theSign In button

STEP 3: How Do I  Prepare My Content for eCourses?

Prepare Syllabus

  • Build Your eSyllabus: Ensure the syllabus is available in your course.
  • All faculty are required to use eSyllabus for HB2504 and university requirements.

Prepare Content

For detailed instructions, refer to the Instructor Guides or Student Guides.
